Uwak-uwak |
The Uwak-uwak, sometimes called Tiyango, is a rare and elusive type of aswang known for having characteristics of both a crow and a witch. This creature is often described as something between a large, monstrous bird and a human-like figure with crow-like features, such as black wings.
In the oral folklore of Masbate, an island province in the Bicol Region, stories about the Uwak-uwak are common. Similar tales can also be found in Northern Samar, particularly in Allen, where the belief in this mysterious creature persists.
